Accord was founded in 1996 and was one of the first mediation practices to pilot mediation services in the South West. As an independent panel of experienced family mediators we provide Family Mediation for all areas of family law i.e. co-habitation, civil partnerships, separation, divorce and all children’s matters.

In Cornwall clients can be seen at our offices in Truro or at 10 other venues throughout the county. In Devon clients can be seen at our offices in Plymouth City Centre and, at venues in Okehampton and Exeter. In Somerset clients can be seen at our venue in Taunton.

The ability to be seen quickly and locally has always been beneficial for clients – whether legally aided or fee paying. Accord handles over 1,500 referrals a year from solicitors, the courts, public companies and self referrals from the public.

Who we Are

Accord’s mediators include practising solicitors, persons retired from the legal profession, and people whose backgrounds are from the therapeutic and counselling professions.

All of Accord’s professional mediators have been carefully selected and each are supervised by their respective professional bodies.
